Kathy Owen, age 68, passed away May 27, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was born in Cookeville and has lived in Murfreesboro for the past 33 years. She was a historian and enjoyed her employment at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Gladys. She is survived by her husband, Ben Harrell.
Kathy was a sweet, generous woman and always had a kind word for everyone. She was an avid supporter of the Walking Horse industry, WHOA and SSHBEA. She loved her horses and earned many world championships in performance, driving and flat shod classes. She will be greatly missed.
