Southern Championship relocates for 2021

For many years the Georgia Walking Horse Exhibitors Association has sponsored and operated the Southern Championship Charity Horse Show. There were many successful shows held in Perry Georgia. The Southern Championship moved to the International Horse Park, near Atlanta, where the show was on a date that proved to be a conflict with many other shows. So the decision was made to move to the Heard County Georgia Arena in order to have a spring date; however, the Heard County Georgia Arena did not have enough stalls to fill all requests.
The Georgia Walking Horse Association made the decision in 2021 to move to the Morgan County Celebration Arena in Decatur Alabama. The show will be held April 2-3, 2021.
The chosen charity for this year’s show is Camp Smile-A-Mile. Since the show will be held in Alabama, the Georgia Walking Horse Association wanted to support the Walking Horse Association of Alabama with a contribution to Camp Smile-A-Mile.
